Mandy & Proud Prince

Dear Nadine and Lynne,

At last as promised the professional photos taken at “Harrys” (Proud Prince) first Adult camp May 2010.  What fun I had at my first camp.  The instructor said “This week has seen some big steps for both you and Harry. Your relationship while firmly established, has the opportunity to grow in so many directions right now. I have no doubt at all that you will achieve your goals; partly because you have the right horse (for you) but predominantly because you want to. Your jumping shows great promise and your dressage is well established”.  As you probably remember I bought “Harry” as my final horse and he is now mine and my husband (who is struggling with his health) best friend. There is no where that “Harry” and I can’t go on our own, we ride on the beach, the South Downs , the roads on our own or in company.  We have regular dressage and jumping lessons and look forward to the future with our beautiful boy.  Thank you both for the best horse I have ever owned.

Love, Mandy

Alice & Chapel Street Lad

Hi Lynne and Nadine,
Chapel is being brilliant and has come on loads since we bought him.  He is confidently jumping 2ft 6 in competitions and 2ft 9 to 3ft in lessons.  His flatwork has progressed well and he is now much more forward into his fences.  He has been x-country schooling twice and done an ODE taking everything in his stride.   This week he did his first grid work session with Pat Burgess and has another one booked in.  I can honestly say that he hasn’t put a foot wrong since arriving here – he didn’t even go mad when turned out for the first time!  He has settled in really well and become a much loved addition – looking forward to taking him to Pony Club camp in the holidays.

Abigail & Rathlee Boy

Sorry its taken me so long to send you an update on Rathlee Boy. He has behaved perfectly since we have had him and been a pleasure to own. Last year he successfully competed in unaffiliated dressage and jumped clear round a couple of British Novices, as well as taking part in both senior and main pony club camp. We also won a local working hunter and were 4th in the workers at Bucks County. Hopefully 2010 will be just as good!  Thanks, Abi

Philippa & Two Tone Thomas

Hi I have been meaning to email you for ages with some photos of Thomas (Two Tone Thomas) whom I have now owned for 6 years!! He is wonderful and I love him to bits.  We still compete at BN and Discovery level, BE100 eventing and riding club Team events.  He is as cheeky as ever and his character gets more and more amusing (and naughty) with every year that passes!  My dream one day, would be to qualify for the Grassroots Championships at Badminton. I have reached the Regional qualifying level after coming 3rd in a BE100 but then our dressage lets us down a bit at the qualifying levels.  So we have been working on our flat work intensively and hopefully if I can get Tom to be a little more attentive on the day we may one day reach the Championships! Probably at BE90 level though as we struggle with the XC time at BE100.  I think it is good to have goals and as I am hoping to continue competing him for another 9 years or so we have plenty of time to practice and have fun!  Thank you so much for selling him to me He is truly wonderful and such a friend!!

Brigitte & Blue Eyed Boy

Hello Lynne and Nadine,
Just a quick email to thank you so much for suggesting Blue Eyed Boy (known as Oz) for me.  I gave you my wish list (top of which was I must feel safe!) and he has proved to be all of that and a lot more. He had been a jumping pony with his previous owner and I wanted him mainly for dressage.  He has been showjumping twice and been clear both times with Laura (Judi Piper's head girl) and I did my first dressage with him in November and came second. He is such a nice person and talented to boot! What more could I have asked for?  Who knows, I just might start jumping him myself! Thank you both for your friendly approach and clever choice of ride.
Best wishes,
Brigitte

Laura & Shanna Star

Hi Lynne and Nadine
Just wanted to give you a quick up date on Shanna now named Dougal.  He settled in really well , we came 4th in our first show jumping outing taking everything in his stride, then 6th at Coomblands (piccie attached).  We havent been doing anything too serious lots of hunting which he loves , no obstacle has posed a problem to him !
We are aiming to BE this year all going well and are off for our first serious dressage lesson tomorrow but the main plan is to keep having fun. Regards, Laura

Laura & Western Glan

Dear Lynne and Nadine, Westy had a quiet start when he arrived in June, he had time to settle in and hack out a lot, in September he won his first combined training, completed 4 hunter trials (all clear), the last one being around a BE Pre-novice course.  We are now spending the winter BSJA jumping British Novice and Discovery with the aim of pre-novice eventing in the Spring.  I will keep you updated on his progress next year.  Please pass on my thanks to Leanne as well because Westy is so lovely to work with, he really wants to learn, she started him off so well I have been able to build on that.
Kind regards, Laura

Euan & Heath Of Cashel

Just a quick note - we took Harry to the Northern Ireland Working Hunter Qualifier yesterday (finals are in Cavan in April) and he did the Heritage Over 138cm class and got second - he jumped fantastic, fences were 95cm-1m with some tricky combinations of poles and fillers and he took it all in his stride. He also jumped in the Novice 153cm and got 5th out of 20 (he knocked down the last part of the double) but the striding was very short for him and he just tipped it with his front foot. So overall a great first show - we were delighted with his performance and how he behaved among the other horses, no problems at all. So he'll be off to Cavan in April for the finals of the Northern Ireland Working Hunter Championships !! not bad for his first show !!

I want to thank everyone at Prestwood for making our trip such an enjoyable experience, my dad thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the horses and our trip was definitely well worth while.

Kind Regards, Valerie and Euan

Sarah & Ballyard Wonder

Thought you would like to see some pics of Bally (Ballyard Wonder).  Had him just over 2 months now and he has been fantastic. He settled in so well and takes everything in his stride.  We have already done a training camp at Stockland Lovell and some XC schooling and he is loving his jumping !  Dressage coming along and we have done a walk and trot test (and apart from looking in the mirrors at how handsome he was) he was fab !  Everyone who meets him falls in love with him and I can't fault him - looking forward to a great summer together.  Thanks so much and would definitely recommend you to anyone.  Sarah & Bally

Gina & Windy Prince

I thought you might like to know how I'm getting on with Prince (Windy) .  Well all I can say he is an absolute star - we are having great fun!  I really can't fault him.  I've attached a few pics from some of the things we've done!  So far we've been out to two walk and trot dressage's (where we got our first rosettes) and we've done some XC training at Lodge Farm.  We've also done quite a bit of hacking (had to put back shoes on as we have a lot of roadwork).  Also been having lessons and his schooling is coming along nicely although he definitely prefers the jumping!!!  We've done a bit of jumping at home but I'm planning to get him out and about to a few clear rounds in April and if that goes well I will try some classes.  We're off to Denne Hill XC this weekend and then we are doing the East Kent Hunt sponsored ride the following weekend.  I'm also doing my first Prelim dressage with him in May which should be fun.  Then we are off to summer camp for a long weekend in June and possibly dressage camp in September - so lots planned! So just wanted to say thanks!  Hope all is well, regards, Gina

Tessy & Peter Pan

Hi Lyn and Nadine!
I just thought I'd e-mail you and send you some pictures of how Peter Pan is doing. Its been almost 11 months since we bought him from you now! He has been absolutely fantastic, I couldn't have asked for a better horse, thank you so much for all the help when looking for him :) He has proven to be a very quick learner and has excelled in showjumping, jumping 1m10 courses at home with scope to go further. We have registered him with the BSJA and hopefully will be going out to our first BSJA competition soon! Im sorry its taken so long to send you any updates, the time has flown by! Kind Regards, Tessy and Pip

Emma & Manus

Congratulations to the Grant Sisters! Please read the above article in Horse and Hound

Dancer (coloured chap) excelled himself at the U21s National Champs at Sheepgate and won his team test for Scotland. He did 4 fantastic tests and was placed in them all with all his scores over 65%. He is much loved and I think has gone up in Claire's estimation since last week. Both horses are taking part in a dressage to music demo for the local riding club on Friday night so that should be a new experience for them. I imagine Manus will be quite excited about it be its good for him to be exposed to this kind of thing. Will keep you posted.  Regards, Lorraine

Katie & Gino Valley

Too late for Beijing but hoping for 2012!!!

Just a huge thank you for Gino...She is such a gorgeous horse.  Thank you so much for all your kind help and I will send photos soon.  Gino is very happy and relaxed and has made friends with the shetlands.  Ambroise and Digby also love her.  I have been for a hack today and all was perfect.  Many Thanks and kind regards, Katie

Nickki & Leam Quiksilver

Dear Lynne, Nadine and Ahmed

Just to say a huge thank you for finding us this fantastic horse.  Leam Quiksilver is everything we ever hoped he would be.
I recently took him to pony club camp where he was an absolute star and came 3rd in the end of week one day event.  He has come through for us in every way and is proving to be a wonderful jumper and a really special little person.  We can not thank you enough for finding him for us, he is my best friend in the world, and I do not know what I would do without him. Thank you.  Nikkii and Sue.

Hannah & Morgan

Hi Lynne and Nadine,
I thought it was about time I let you know how Morgan (or Harvey as he is now known) is getting on.
He is settled down really nicely and couldn't be any better behaved. He has made best friends with his field buddy and tries to follow me round whilst I clean the paddock being very cheeky. He is a star to handle (although maybe a little slow on the lead reign when coming in form the field!!! he he!) and to ride. I have done pony club camp on him which helped us both get a better relationship. He tried his best and is really starting to show his potential in all disciplines. We flew round the end of camp one day event, with jumping, at 3'0" with ease and came 5th. We have also been cross country schooling with him since then and cleared the open size fences easily. We have also taken him to Wales on a showjumping weekend were we did very well and his technique is improving every time we go out. I can't wait to take him hunting at the start of the season and will email again with some pictures. Thank you again for helping us find Harvey, he is perfect!!!!
From Hannah and Jess!

Anti & Smokey

Here is the photo for you of Anty at a schools SJ event at Royal Leisure last weekend. Went clear on her first outing at 3'3" and went clear again in the jump-off. Smokey is just a wonderful horse. So honest, a complete gentleman and a quick learner. He's a good all-rounder and they're a good team.  Regards, Katherine Colas

Carl & Tattoo

Here are some photos of  'Tattoo' as promised.  We are thrilled with him and would never part with him he is a star!  We are taking him to shows and couldn't be happier with him.  We are jumping him almost a meter and he is doing it with ease.  He is an honest jumper and nothing phases him.  He is a kind horse that Carl and I have always wished for.  Best wishes, Carl & Karen (Jersey)

Jo & Cocolatte

Hi, just a few pics of Cocolatte or now know as Lenny!
He scrubs up really well seeing as he is out 24/7 and we are getting rather adventurous and going out and about to shows ,i am so pleased with him, thank you for all your help Jo xx

Adriana & Apache Flame

I thought I would give you an update on Flame now that I have done a bit more with him! Firstly things haven’t changed I love my boy to bits and am so pleased with him! the whole family is; he never puts a foot wrong and always tries his heart out! I have had him 6 months now and it has flown by and our understanding of each other is getting stronger each day! Flame has been showjumping every other weekend which he loves and is coming along very well. At the end of November I took him XC for the first time and he excelled himself jumping everything with such confidence I was so proud of him! I have taken him hunting twice, both times he behaved very well although fairly strong but that’s just because he’s having fun! He jumps everything and enjoys his day. Then today I took him to his first showing show and to say I am happy is putting it mildly! Having never been in an indoor school or seen mirrors he was a saint! He took everything in his stride and performed fantastically! We won our Ponies UK coloured class qualifying for the PUK winter champs at Towerlands where we shall be going at the end of March, we also qualified for Royal London and The south west pony association championships. So to say he is a good boy is a bit of an understatement in my eyes because to me he is a little superstar! many thanks Lynn for finding such a cracking chap he is one in a million! love from Adriana

The Sampson Family & Smerlin

Dear Nadine,
I just wanted to let you know that Smerlin has turned out to be a really wonderful pony. He does everything we ask him to do without any fuss at all. When we go outside he immediately comes to see us and stands by us the whole time we are in his field. He loves being cuddled and importantly he is a fantastic ride. I feel totally confident with him with my daughter and he has not put a foot wrong since we have had him. He is having lessons once a week with my daughter and he is really making progress. Everyone comments on how beautiful he is.
After all the time we spent looking , the disappointments and some of the terrible ponies we went to see, we still can't believe we found Smerlin.
So thank you , he really is a special pony, quite unlike any other we have ever come across.  We will send you some pictures when he starts winning prizes.
Best wishes, The Sampson Family

Kate & Sportie

Just wanted to let you know how Sportie and I are doing now he's been here for 2 weeks.
He's great, the whole family love him, he's sweet with the girls and has relaxed enough to start being a bit cheeky with me now! He's settled in really well and we're having great fun hacking round the countryside, he's cool both on his own and in company, up on the Downs, in the lanes and in the school.  So I'm delighted, just what I was looking for.
Thanks again, Kate

Sam, Jenni & Keep In Tune

Just thought I would drop you a line to let you know how Tune is getting on.  We have both been doing lots of shows with her and she is now regularly getting placed. She has done some dressage (which isn't her favorite but she still tries her hardest), some show jumping where me and her came 2nd and she has done lots of cross country with Jen, last weekend she came 5th and 8th at Pachesham!! She has given me so much confidence and me and Jen now go hacking together and cantering around the countryside, I have been having some jumping lessons and jumping about 3'3" which I would never have dreamed of doing before!  We love her to bits and can't thank you enough for helping us to find something as lovely as she is. I have enclosed some pictures of her and us at a couple of shows.

Thanks again, Sam and Jenni York

Emily & Misty
I was just e-mailing to say how great Misty is and how much I am enjoying having her.  She has settled in perfectly and we have taken her to loads of different places, including showjumping, cross country and dressage arenas, plus two rides on the new-forest! Misty was perfect in all those places and she has jumped everything that I have wanted her to. Misty has become great friends with Minnie, our 13.2 mare but she's not so keen on Salty, our 11.3 gelding!  She is so quiet and a gem to handle in every way. We don't even have to tie her up - she just stands!  We have given her a trace clip and some lovely new rugs with necks. Thank you so much, Emily.

Kat & George

Hi Lynne, Nadine and Ahmed

Just a quick email to say thank you for finding me such a fantastic horse. George has been everything that I was looking for in a horse. He completed his first cross country event on Sunday where he did a faultless round. We've got our first dressage competition next week which we're busy preparing for!
I'm still aiming for British Novice on him for next year, all being well.

Thank you so much again

Kat x x

Lucy & Athlone Frankie

Hi Lynn,
Just to let you know that Frankie has settled in really well and been a very good boy so far!!  I just wanted to thank you for all your help and for putting up with endless phone calls from me, if you speak to Charly could you also thank her for me.  I will let you know how we get on in the near future with Frankie.
Thanks again, Lucy Sculthorpe

Becky & Thornfield Finch

Hi just to let you know Finch has settled very well with us.  Becky is having regular lessons and the lady who teaches her is doing some schooling on him too.  He is coming along very nicely.  Becky is hoping to do some dressage on him next year.  I am really enjoying hacking round the villages when Becky's at school with a friend on her horse.   He doesn't mind going out on his own either.  He has a lovely nature and is very friendly, everybody thinks he's gorgeous.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lynne Nadine and Ahmed for all your time and hard work helping Becky to find such a fabulous pony it was very much appreciated. We hope Lewey has found a nice home.  Will keep in touch.

Rosie & Tyler

We have had our lovely Tyler for nearly 3 years now! When I came to you I was a nervous wreck with my jumping, but Tyler has turned that around. I now very much enjoy jumping. He has been the most friendly horse we have ever had (and we have been through many!) Tyler takes great pleasure in playing with me, my brother and sisters (who don't even like horses but love him) , small children, the dog, the donkey and everything really! He will make a game out of everything e.g while grooming him he will pick up other brushes and throw them around and he also takes great pleasure in leaning over the garden fence and pulling the washing off the washing line (much to mums disgust). Tyler has come on so much since we bought him and is loved by everyone who meets him. He is such a big part of the family and is such a special horse. He has a home for life.
Thank you, Rosie and Tyler xXx

Athlone Sandy

Hazel & Darcy

I have had Darcy for just over a year now and what a star he has proven to be!!   Just recently he has been jumping double clear round discovery tracks.   Last week he came second at Royal Leisure in the Discovery class and has qualified for the Discovery championships.   Last year he won the indoor eventers challenge at Golden Cross and this year he was part of the winning team at the Inter-Schools Team Show Jumping and he even made it to the newspaper!!   We have had many more successful events throughout the past 12 months.  Now I have finished all my exams I can concentrate on getting ready for the British Eventing events we have entered later on this year.   His Dressage has improved tremendously and he is now regularly in the top three placings in competitions.  We have decided not to attend camp this year but are aiming to go to associates camp next year, which will hopefully be a great experience for both of us.   Last year he successfully took me through my C+ examination and we are now aiming to complete the B test in April 2008.
Thank you for such a wonderful horse!!  Hazel x

I bought Beechgrove Bacardi (Breeze) as a 6yo in March 2005.  He has won or been placed in EVERYTHING I have entered.  He has been successful in Riding Club dressage teams, won his first one day event and I have recently joined British Dressage.  I was also lucky enough to have a lesson with Capt. Mark Philips who was very complimentary about him.  We are now comfortably jumping 3ft tracks and all this makes up for him being a grumpy old git sometimes! Harriet

Sandra + Toby

Sandra & Toby

I bought Toby from you at the end of June 2006.  I thought you would like to see the photos of him at his first pleasure ride on 23/9/06.  He is a lovely boy and we are getting on well together.  Suzie, my daughter is giving me lessons each week so I am definitely improving since I nervously came to try him out.  Thank you to Nadine and yourself for my lovely boy! Katie & Peter

About 2 years ago, we bought Pete from Prestwood Farm.  When we bought him he had just had his 5th Birthday, so he was still quite green. Because I wasn’t the most experienced rider, it was good for me to have a bit of a challenge. We have learned from our mistakes and gained our confidence together. He is especially  amazing at jumping, and I feel he enjoys jumping as much as me.  I love Pete so much and wouldn’t swap him for anything in the world!  Katie
